Wyoming has a smaller population than the other 49 states combined

Wyoming, compared with everywhere else.

Map of the US with Wyoming in red and the other 49 states in blue

I’ve checked this properly. Take the population of all 50 states, 341,091,212, and subtract Wyoming’s 588,753 to get the other 49: 340,502,459. Divide that by Wyoming and you get 578.3, which is more than 1, so the map is correct. To be sure, I also tried it the other way round, adding Wyoming to itself until it matched the other 49. It took 578 Wyomings, with a bit left over.

It’s true of every state, but it’s most true of Wyoming, which is the least populated state in the US.
